Title: MammoGrid: Large-Scale Distributed Mammogram Analysis Research Question: How can grid technology be used to create a large-scale, distributed database of mammograms for the study of breast cancer epidemiology and the understanding of image acquisition protocols? Methodology: The MammoGrid project aims to develop a Europe-wide database of mammograms using novel grid-compliant and federated-database technologies. These technologies will provide improved access to distributed data and allow rapid deployment of software packages for analysis.
